This is the reply from the Editor of the our paper in Sisseton, the Sota Iya Ye Yapi. I sent the editor and email and pasted the comment on Indianz.com regarding how she, Betty Ann Groos, would join the KKK or Ayran group. This is just the first of letting people know the hatred that Betty Gross spreads on the internet.
I have known Betty Gross for many years, and am a friend of her son.I am shocked at what I am reading and have trouble believing it came from her.If these are truly her words, I am really sorry to hear them.This is NOT the sentiment of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate as I know them.

I am going to comment on this myself. I know that Betty Gross is a hateful and evil person. She's not the only one there are many ndns just like her. They would deny it but truth be known most of them are like her. I know that she has posted hateful remarks on the internet regarding black people. She is Diavid Yeagley's sidekick - a man that uses her. Without David, Betty wouldn't have anywhere to post. But I also see hateful posts made to ndns against ndns all the time.

I am not a person that posts on many sites with regards to ndnz and have done very seldom.
Betty lied to the editor of our Sota paper and said that she is not this Betty Gross and someone is impersonating her and slandering her. Sure. Whatever, Betty. You lie like a rug.
Well, the way I feel about all of this is that I don't care what Betty does - I don't care what Betty says on the internet or off. I wash my hands of her completely. I am not going to waste any more time on her or post on Badeagle.com because I do have a life outside of the internet. I don't need a site that I have to post one to make myself look important.
In fact.... I don't care what any ndnz do on any ndn tribe in the United States. There are many urban ndnz that don't give a care about what goes on on their rez. They are too busy working for a living to earn money to live; just like every other American.
I have a life off the rez and I am happy that where I live; I don't have to associate with any ndnz and have to listen to their gossip and backstabbing and jealousies. I am so happy that I have a life off the rez and don't have to put up with the tribal government; I dont' have to beg them for any help - My husband and I have a business and have had it for a long time.
Our home is happy home. A blending of two cultures. There is harmony and peace in our lives; our children are healthy and are not a ban to society. We have no drunken fights in our home; no wife beating; no one that gossips about us or lies about us in the community.
I meet many white, blacks and every other culture and they are good people.
I don't have to explain to any people how much ndn blood I have or that I'm a better ndn than you because I grew up on the rez or that I can't relate to ndn people; blah, blah, blah. Useless words that don't amount to anything.
I will continue to visit my family back on the rez but will always be glad to come back to my home in Illinois.
So ndn people; do as Betty Gross does and argue and backstab and lie about each other
- to each other on the ndn sites.

I know bettyann too. Although I would rather hear it from her personally, if this is true, then she has totally lost her mind. I will say about that much.

As I said, I will be going to visit relatives on Lake Traverse next weeken and she has said that she will see me there. Time will tell. She does not want to meet at my Aunts home, where I will be staying and the reason is because she is afraid to see my family and admit to her hatred toward blacks and ndns with black ancestry.
She knows my family and my Aunt. They would listen to her and hear her explain why she has this hatred.
I have spoken to many people on our rez that she and I belong to regarding Betty and they do say that she is a lost person. At one time; she did not have this hate and I feel that her introduction with David Yeagley started it all.
One should not sell one's soul in order to feel accepted. Betty did this in order to be able to post on Badeagle.com.
